CHANDIGARH: Having left home with 'dollar dreams' in his eyes, a 30-year-old man from Kurukshetra fell to the bullet of an African-American in a town in Indiana state of United States on Monday night.
This happened when Deepak was returning home from the mall where he was employed.
A pall of gloom descended on the victim's residence in New Laxman Colony of Kurukshetra, after getting a phone call from Indiana police on Tuesday morning. "We have come to know that he was returning home when a group of African-Americans opened fire on him, killing him on the spot," said his younger brother Pardeep.
The eldest child of Sharawan, a small-time businessman, Deepak was a bachelor and had gone to the US last year.
"We have lost everything; we just want his body back. Some of our relatives have gone to the US embassy in Delhi to inquire about the process to be followed. We wish the government would help us," Pardeep said.
