NRI Manjit Singh Rattu, who was arrested by the local police on December 16, was granted bail in a case of fraud by a local court here today. Two cases of cheating had been registered against Rattu.
In the first case, the accused had booked an order for 100 mobile phones with Deep Communication, Sector 11, Panchkula. However, after he was delivered 10 mobile sets, a cheque issued by him for Rs 26,600 bounced. In the second case, he purchased computers from a computer shop in Sector 20 but the cheque for Rs 2.65 lakh also bounced.
